Connecting Communities Through Local Food
We believe in the power of local food systems to strengthen communities, support sustainable farming, and deliver the freshest British produce directly to your table.
Rebuilding FoodConnections
In a world where food travels thousands of miles before reaching our plates, we're bringing it back home. The Local Harvest connects you directly with British farmers, growers, and producers who share your values of quality, sustainability, and community.
We believe that when consumers and producers know each other, magic happens. Trust builds, quality improves, and communities thrive. Our platform makes these connections possible, one relationship at a time.
A Thriving Local Food Network
We envision a future where every British community has access to fresh, locally-grown produce, where farmers can thrive by connecting directly with their customers, and where food systems are sustainable, transparent, and fair for everyone involved.
What Drives Us
These core values guide everything we do and shape our relationships with farmers, producers, and consumers across Britain.
Community First
We believe in strengthening local communities by connecting consumers directly with their local food producers.
Sustainability
Supporting environmentally responsible farming practices and reducing food miles across the UK.
Quality & Trust
Every business is thoroughly verified to ensure they meet our strict British-grown produce standards.
Fair Trade
Ensuring fair prices for farmers while providing consumers with the freshest, highest quality produce.
Built by one founder, in public
The Local Harvest is a one-person operation today. We’d rather start small and honest than pretend to be bigger than we are. As real people join, they’ll appear here with verifiable names, photos and roles — never stock images, never invented titles.

Adam Pittman
Founder & operator
The Local Harvest is built and run by Adam Pittman through CDM Marketing Ltd — a UK-registered company (Companies House 14010841) based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. Adam designs the product, writes the code, talks to producers and answers support email himself. If you contact us, you’re writing to him.
The mission is straightforward: rebuild the path between British food producers and the people who want to eat their food, without the supermarket layer in between. Step one is the directory you’re using. Step two is the marketplace. Step three is whatever the producers and shoppers tell us they actually want.
We won’t pad this page with stock photos of people who don’t exist or invented headcount stats. That’s not a foundation a marketplace can build trust on. Want to be the second person on the team? Tell us why.
